Magirevo Kypriaka 2015 (Μαγειρεύω Κυπριακά)

The 3rd Magirevo Kypriaka competition took place between 25th and 26th of April in 2015 at the kitchen facilities of Intercollage Nicosia. The event is organized by Intercollage and Cyprus Food Museum. Our friend Chef George Kyprianou, representing Intercollage, for another year helped in making this event even more successful!

For the ones who are not aware, the title stands for “Cooking Cypriot food” and the participants are only students and children between 10 to 18 years old who compete using their cooking skills in Cypriot food. Additionally, at the outside area of the venue the visitors had the opportunity to visit exhibitors from the food industry making traditional Cypriot food and sweets like sousouko, loukoumades, koupes and many more.

The first day, the competitions of younger age took place and high school students and secondary technical school students competed on the second dat. The judges of the competition consisted of culinary art teachers, representatives of Cyprus Chefs Associations, confectioners, representatives of Cypriot Food Museum and representatives of Primary, Secondary and Technical Education.

ANCO was one of the sponsors of the event because it encourages youngsters to cook and promote our island’s cuisine. Congratulations to the organizers and the students for their love in Cyprus cuisine!
